Introducing the latest addition to the kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus fleet.

The new kunanyi/Mt Wellington bus was designed by BCI an Australia owned and operated bus and coach company and features huge, curved panoramic windows. Needless to say, the views from inside the bus are amazing!

It’s both narrow enough for the journey to the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, yet roomy enough for passengers to travel in complete comfort. Best of all, the low floor bus is easily accessible by people of all ages and abilities with wheelchair ramp access and 28 comfortable, seat-belted McConnell coach seats. Each seat position is fitted with a USB charging station, ensuring passengers can power-up their devices as needed. There’s even room to store day packs and mountain bikes for the ultimate kunanyi/Mt Wellington adventure.

Behind the wheel, kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus operator Tony says it’s a dream to drive, “I’m so excited to be driving the new bus today, it’s a quiet and smooth ride to the top of the mountain – the passengers are loving it!”

The new bus is designed to operate in all local weather conditions, including snow covered roads and features AdBlue® emission reducing technology.

kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus operates daily from Hobart’s waterfront to the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington. The 2-hour return tour includes 30-minutes to view the lookouts on the summit. OR, for a little more adventure, passengers can choose to hop-on and hop-off the bus to explore a wide range of short walks on the mountain.
